National call of Cameroonian Women to end VIOLENCE and consolidate PEACE under the Banner of SNWOT

CAWAS was represented by the Delegate in Yaounde under the canopy of SNWOT (SOUTHWEST, NORTHWEST WOMEN TASK FORCE) at the National call of Cameroonian Women to end VIOLENCE and consolidate PEACE organised by the UN in collaboration with the Cameroon Government at the Red Cross hall. During this conference a presentation was done on the ongoing crisis in the North West and South Region of the English speaking Regions of Cameroon. Talks presented elaborated on thousands of people that have been killed, thousands living now as refugees in Nigeria, thousands internally displace and many villages burnt down. Representatives of women groups and coalition including SNWOT spoke out loud decrying the consequences of the crisis which has heavily affected women. Women at the end of the conference were encouraged to engage in peacebuilding activities in order to end the crisis.
