Making menstruation a normal fact of life by 2030

CAWAS engages schools, students, teachers and parents in the struggle to end menstruation stigma in schools against teenage girls. Launching this activity in a reputable institution like Step by Step, and the enthusiasm and hospitality presented by the students, parents, teachers and management, we look forwards to the next visits to other secondary schools.

Through MHM school clubs, CAWAS is training trainers that will lead the campaign to minimize the menstruation stigma in schools. Involving boys in the campaign helps reduce the stigma in schools around menstruation as many boys have little or no knowledge making them look at it s like a taboo.

CAWAS engages participants and MHM school club members in the production of their own menstruation bracelets. They put them on to show that periods are nothing to hide and that they are ready to make menstruation a fact of life by 2030.
