The 5th anniversary of She Builds Peace

CAWAS recently joined forces with CAGEAD to celebrate two significant milestones: the 5th anniversary of She Builds Peace and the 25th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325) at the ICONAH center. CAGEAD, the organizer, launched two impactful books:

"Grassroots Localization of UNSCR 1325" and "Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Manual".

During the event, CAWAS led a session on Breast Cancer Awareness, highlighting their ongoing campaign at St. Blaise Hospital and the Regional Hospital, where free screenings are available. CEO Mme Emelienne encouraged participants to take advantage of this opportunity, distributing flyers and pink ribbons to both women and men, promoting solidarity and awareness about breast cancer.

The event brought together stakeholders to reflect on progress made and challenges ahead in promoting women's rights, peace, and security.
